The Certificate III and Certificate IV Hairdressing courses provide training for individuals seeking employment within the hairdressing industry. The primary role of each course is to equip graduates with the knowledge, skills and attitudes required of a professional hairdresser. Students will acquire knowledge and skill in communication, design concepts (long and short hair) and classical, casual and avante garde cutting techniques. In addition, students will develop expertise in style concepts, fashion cutting, chemical and image creation and colouring. Students will also gain an understanding of how business principles operate in the real world.
The Australian College of Hair Design and Beauty delivers courses from the National Hairdressing Training Package. There are four credential exit points that may be issued:
