All Policies and procedures for The Australian College of Hair Design and Beauty are available in the Student Code of Ethics Handbook which can be downloaded and viewed on our website at www.achdb.com.au, or requested from Head Office (Melbourne). It is the students responsibility to ensure that all College policies are clearly understood before enrolling, and if not, to seek clarification from the Campus Coordinator.

Modes of study include Demonstration, Lecture and Practical simulated salon experience.
Observation, written or oral questioning and employability skills assessments in the workplace.
The Australian College of Hair Design and Beauty recognises and accepts the credentials issued by another registered training organisation based in a State/ Territory of Australia. This may include a Statement of Attainment for specific qualifications such as a Certificate or Diploma.
Recognition of Prior Learning [RPL] refers to recognition of competencies currently held regardless of how, when or where the learning occurred. under AQTF, competencies may be attained in a number of ways, including formal or informal training, education, work experience or general life experience. In order to grant RPL, the assessor must be confident that the candidate is currently competent against the endorsed industry or enterprise competency standards or outcomes specified in AQF accredited courses.
The evidence may take a variety of forms and may include certification, reference from past employers, testimonials from clients and work samples. The assessor must ensure that the evidence is authentic, valid, reliable, current and sufficient.
RPL procedures ensure that each application is considered according to accreditation guidelines. RPL fees apply. Please request an RPL Application form from the Campus Coordinator.
