NEW SPA THERAPY Training Course

Practical Training
The student must complete 200 hours of practical clinical training under supervision of qualified practitioners. Dress Code Applies.

Other Requirements
Students are required to hold a current Level 1 First Aid Certificate prior to clinical training. This can be arranged by the College at extra cost.

Course fee includes a kit containing a College Uniform Jacket, Course notes, Manicure and Pedicure Equipment, Head-band.

Facilities
The College has the most up-to-date facilities and equipment (open for inspection at interview).

SPA THERAPY Training Course

This course is for qualified beauty therapists with either Diploma of Beauty Therapy (WRB50199) or Certificate IV in Beauty (WRB40199) or similar Natural Therapies or Natural Medicines. Credit or partial credits are available from these courses. Qualifications must be sited by the College (R.P.L).

This course emphasises the importance of balancing cutting and chemical techniques in order to create looks that harmonise and endure. Students will learn our classic techniques for strengthening their cutting skills and will receive our famous colour demonstrations to enhance their chemical knowledge.

Advanced Cut, Colour & Perm Course

This course suits a range of individuals, from the experienced technician to the stylist who is looking to expand their knowledge. Students are taught a range of specialised service skills from

This course provides students with a valuable introduction to skin analysis and preparation, cosmetics, make-up, contouring and highlighting features. Personal / Basic Make-up provides a great basis for further study in beauty.

Bridal make-up is a fast growing ‘extra’ in many salons. Students will learn special techniques to create a subtle look for all members of the bridal party, resulting in natural photography and confidence on the day.

Facial & Body Waxing

This course covers all aspects of facial and body waxing. Students will use both hot and strip wax and gain an understanding of hair growth, client consultation, preparation and contra-indications. Products, equipment, hygiene and sanitation and aftercare treatments are explained, providing a great basis for future work in the beauty industry.

Students will learn about circulation, bones and muscles of the arm and hands, as well as the composition of nails. They will then gain an understanding of hygiene and sterilisation, the selection and care of manicure equipment, nail disorders, manicure techniques and the process of nail repair. This course also covers polish application (including French polish) and demonstrations.

Students will be taught about client consultation, nail shape, nail extensions and nail length. Each class consists of demonstrations and class participation in maintenance procedures, polish application and nail art design.

Gel Nails

Indian Head Massage

Indian Head Massage is an ancient art that has been practiced mainly by women in India for over a thousand years. It was originally developed to keep their hair strong, lustrous and in good condition. The neck and shoulders are all energy centres where tension is most likely to accumulate. By stimulating scalp circulation it relaxes the scalp and tones the muscles, relieving eye strain, headaches and improving concentration, boosting the immune system and generally creating a feeling of well being. Indian Head Massage also eliminates muscle tension and restores joint movement by stretching and mobilising the tissue of the neck and shoulders.

Ear Candling Thermotherapy

Students will learn the art of this ancient natural therapy used by Indians of North and South America, to harmonise different auras and to drive out negative energies.

Ear coning is used to cleanse and soften ear wax and promote a healthy atmosphere in ears, sinus and throat.

Stone therapy is an ancient cultural therapy dating back thousands of years and was used by Tibetan Monks and the American Indians. This therapy was used for many purposes, ranging from grounding to achieving deeper levels of relaxation as well as for healing processes. As the stones work in harmony (using various massage techniques and warm stones) the body is relaxed at its deepest level using the gentle transformational properties of mineral and semi-precious stones.
